Bronchoton, a syrup containing natural basil oil, ephedrine and glaucin, is used in combination antitussive treatment.

In the complex therapy of respiratory system diseases accompanied by dry cough: acute and chronic bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, whooping cough.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Sucrose / isamaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (due to the sucrose content in the preparation). Coronary heart disease, arterial hypertension, heart failure ,, arrhythmias, coronary atherosclerosis, pheochromocytoma, thyrotoxicosis, angle-closure glaucoma, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hyperplasia, insomnia, pregnancy, period breastfeeding, children under 3 years old, upcoming general anesthesia with cyclopropane or halotone.
Mode of application
Inside. Adults - 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day. Children from 3 to 10 years old - 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. Children over 10 years old - 2 teaspoons 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is 5-7 days.
From the cardiovascular system: tachycardia, extrasystole, increased blood pressure. From the nervous system: tremor, agitation, insomnia, dizziness. From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and constipation. From the endocrine system, increased libido, dysmenorrhea. From the urinary system: difficulty urinating, urinary retention in patients with prostatic hyperplasia. On the part of the skin and mucous membranes: rash, increased sweating. Allergic reactions: urticaria, bronchospasm, urticaria rash. Other: visual impairment, tachyphylaxis. Children have drowsiness.
Due to the stimulating effect on the central nervous system and possible sleep disturbances, it is not recommended to take BRONHOTON syrup after 16 hours. If 5-7 days after the start of treatment, the symptoms of the disease persist or the condition worsens, consult a doctor. BRONCHOTON contains up to 1.7 vol.% Ethanol. A single dose for children from 3 to 10 years (5 ml) contains up to 0.069 g of alcohol, a daily dose of up to 0.20 g. A single dose for children over 10 years (10 ml) contains up to 0.138 g of alcohol, a daily dose of up to 0 , 40 g. A single dose for adults (15 ml) contains up to 0.207 g of alcohol, a daily dose of up to 0.60 g. The syrup contains methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate as excipients, which, although rare, can cause hives, immediate hypersensitivity reactions with an urticaria rash and bronchospasm. The content of ephedrine in the composition of the product can give a positive result with a doping test in athletes. Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms. The drug is not recommended for use in performing potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention; speed of psychomotor reactions.
